The 2007 Holiday Hullabaloo A Great Success!

The Friends of the River Coalition and the Friends of the Old Town Public Library recently held their 4th annual Holiday Hullabaloo at the Old Town Public Library. 

More than 80 families visited Santa Claus and helped him finish his gift list for the Old Town area.  Beautiful pictures were available for $5 each, and this years' may make an appearance at the event next year!  Most of the children then visited the Children's Mall where they could purchase small gifts for their friends and family for only $1.00 and then bring it to their favorite Elf to have it gift wrapped.

The Friends of the Library sold out of the cookies, cupcakes, and pastries they had prepared to reaise money for the library programs.

More than 350 tickets were sold for the 37 baskets which were donated by community organizations, groups, and even individuals.  Names were drawn for the baskets at the end of the events, and a few people were lucky enough to win more than one!

THANK YOU to all who donated gift baskets and Children's Mall items and helped to make this event such a huge success.  We look forward to seeing you there next year!
